On the 4th day of the Johannesburg Test, Dean Elgar played the role of captain in the fourth game as he led South Africa to easily defeat India with 7 wickets.
KL Rahul chose to hit the ball first in the second test in order to repeat their feat in the first test. However, the Proteas bowling offense proved to be too strong on Day 1, as they defeated the visitors in 202 games.
In response, the Africans also fumbled to gain a 27-point lead from 50 people from Temba Bavuma. Shardul Thakur is a star because he ended with the best statistic of his career at 7/61, which is also the best statistic for an Indian on a changeable soil.
With the constant play of tricks on the court, the lead seems to be quite large. Rahul and Mayank Agarwal failed to play in the third game, but the experienced duo of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane saved India and its career with a partnership of 111 people.
Unfortunately for the visiting team, they collapsed again and Kagiso Rabada put forward a spell to reverse the game. He scored three wickets in a short period of time, which put South Africa in the lead again. Some low-end cameos saw India reach 266 before folding, setting a goal of 240 on the board.
It was expected that this would be a difficult chase for Africans, but Elgar stepped forward and established a partnership with them. Aiden Markram, Keegan Petersen, and the 82-match winning partnership with Rasie van der Dussen. He remained undefeated with a score of 96 and helped his team set their highest pursuit record in Johannesburg.

🚨 Results | #Proteas Win 7 wickets
🇿🇦 Captain Dean Elgar’s 96 unbeaten is the mainstay of the game #Proteas Chase, because he showed enough fighting power and courage to let his side cross the line and level it #BetwayTestSeries#SAvIND #FreedomTestSeries #BePartOfIt pic.twitter.com/uez5t7RRqZ

India will lose. They have been riding on the bowling ball for a long time, and this rest day will happen one day.If you want Cape Town to go its own way, you have to take more responsibility when hitting the ball #INDvSA

Dean Elgar is a stubborn bastard. It is appropriate for him to anchor this chase. According to our xAve model, since the beginning of 2018, only one batter has hit the ball in more difficult bowling/conditions, and only two (Pujara and Rahane) have received more hits on helmets, bodies and gloves . #SAvIND pic.twitter.com/TVuGyD8TM7

1-1 and the last game. From what we have seen, this will be drastic, and I will support India’s ability to reverse the situation. #INDvsSA And hope that Virat will return to the decisive game.

Now that we have the series level, we will have a wonderful tiebreaker in Cape Town. South Africa is doing well here. There are many positives for them. India needs to become stronger, and I believe they will. #SAvIND
