Tottenham Hotspur’s stance shed new light on Sunday night when it came to the future of winger Steven Bergwijn.

Lily’s Troubles

Dutchman Bergwijn has of course had a completely lackluster campaign so far.

With a combination of fitness issues and competition for places, the former PSV Eindhoven team made just three Premier League starts.

Meanwhile, the change to the bench at Tottenham Hotspur in November has done nothing for Bergwijn, with Antonio Conte making it clear that Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane All sit firmly in front of the winger. Follow his attacking order.

Bergwijn, in turn, made just one solitary start under the Italian’s watch, despite scoring against West Ham in the Carabao Cup.

Spurs make a decision

So it should come as no surprise to hear that the Netherlands international will recently leave north London in January.

After all, Bergwijn is still highly regarded in many circles, and the 24-year-old has unquestionable talent.

So far, however, it remains entirely unclear whether those in charge of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are actually open to the prospect of a sale.

But, as mentioned above, on Sunday night, insight into this was already provided.

Conte et al have confirmed it, as transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano has confirmed. A decision has been made and Bergwijn is indeed available for a move this month.

Dutch giants Ajax are one club believed to be keen to buy what was once Eindhoven on a permanent basis, although a deal between the two clubs has yet to be struck:
