Shakib Al Hasan: IPL participation will help Bangladesh to participate in the T20 World Cup

The Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan believes that his participation in the second round of the IPL with compatriot Mustafizur Rahman will help the Bangladesh team during the T20 World Cup.

Shakib will play for Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mustafizur Rahman will play for Rajasthan Royals.

“I hope IPL can help everyone,” Shakib said. “We will spend time in this situation and also participate in the game. Mustafiz and I can share experiences with other members of the team. We will understand the mentality of other players, their views on the World Cup, and then report back. To our players.”

Adapting to the environment will not be a problem, because the team will have enough time to adapt.

“Our team will arrive in Oman at least 15-16 days before the World Cup, which is enough to adapt to various conditions and wickets.

“I don’t think the stadiums and conditions here will have any impact there. We have established a winning mentality, which will help us have confidence in the World Cup.”

‘good chance’

In the last three T20I rubber games, Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe, Australia and New Zealand and gained valuable experience in venues similar to those that might be obtained during the T20 World Cup.

“I think we have a good chance at the World Cup. We have prepared well. There are a lot of criticisms about wickets and low scores, but at the same time, we must understand that there is nothing like winning,” Shaki Bu said.

“A team will have a winning mentality after success, which will raise your confidence to a different level. We want to participate in the World Cup with this confidence,” he added.

Shakib continued to criticize the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, where Bangladesh won the last two T20I series matches against Australia and New Zealand.

“Those who have played the last nine and ten games are in poor condition. That’s how the wicket is. No one is doing well. I hope the batsman doesn’t count this performance,” he said.

“If any batsman plays 10-15 games on these wickets, his career will be over. We don’t think about that. Everyone will work hard to win games for the country.”

‘You can keep walking’

Shakib said that if things are beneficial to Bangladesh, Bangladesh can advance all the way. “It’s hard to say how far we can go, but I think we can go all the way in the World Cup,” he said.

“We have to play one after another. If we can perform well in the first round, we will maintain this confidence that we can play the best in the main game.”
