Paul Stastney signs a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets

The team announced Monday night that veteran Paul Stastney had signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

The 35-year-old center was originally scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent. The three-year, $19.5 million contract he signed with the Vegas Golden Cavaliers in 2018 is about to be cancelled.

Stastney is a veteran with 15 years of NHL experience. He participated in his 1000th regular season in May and also contributed 29 points for the Jets in 56 games, after six games. Two points were added in the game.
