Newcastle suffer another transfer blow, midfielders to stay put

Newcastle are looking for a striker and a defender

Newcastle United, desperate to bolster their squad in January, have won just once in the Premier League this season and are currently in the relegation zone.

Under their new super-rich bosses, the relegation is a huge blow to their hopes of making the Magpies competitive again in the near future.

As such, they are looking for a new striker, with St James’ Park already reportedly dealing with a long list of strikers ranging from in-form Patrick Schick to Burnley’s Chris Wood.

They are also keen on another defender, despite their deadlock with Lille over Sven Bertman.

However, there are other areas that need to be addressed, and in this regard, Newcastle have suffered yet another transfer blow.

The midfielder is knocked back

Ibrahim Sangare, ex-Toulouse, now for PSV, has been on the radar of many Premier League clubs in recent years and now appears to have found his way into Newcastle.

according to daily mailThe Magpies will be keen to bring the Ivorian to north-east England in January as they look to strengthen their squad to avoid a drop.

However, the deal appears to be over before it actually begins, multiple Dutch sources claim Eindhoven won’t let Ivorians leave this January Under any condition.

While football talks about money, PSV seem to choose not to listen.
