New Zealand beat Bangladesh with one innings and 117 runs in three days to equalise a two-match Test series 1-1 at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval on Tuesday.
Bangladesh, who were tied for 126 in response to New Zealand’s first-inning total of 521-6 declared, managed 278 to humiliate in their second innings.

The gap could have been wider had it not been for Liton Das’ counter-attack 102 to earn the Bangladesh side eight wickets in the opening Test at Mount Maunganui.
Kyle Jamison (4-82) and Neil Wagner (3-77) claimed most of the Bangladesh wickets.
Ross Taylor played his last Test to seal the victory for New Zealand by knocking out Bangladesh’s last batsman, Ebadot Hossain.
