McDonald’s National Games nominees announced

760 girls and boys were nominated for the 45th Anniversary McDonald’s National Games. 48 of them (24 girls and 24 boys) will be selected for the competition.

41 different states and Washington, D.C. have at least one nominee, with 83 from Texas, 73 from California, 73 from Florida and 44 from Maryland.

503 different high schools have players nominated for honors, led by IMG Academy (10), Montverde Academy (10), New Hope Academy (8) and USC/Santa Clarita Valley International (8).

The 48 selected players will be revealed on January 25.Announcement to be made on ESPN show NBA Today Between 3pm and 4pm EST.

The game will take place in March at Wintrust Arena, home of the 2021 WNBA champions Chicago Sky.

Michael Jordan, Candace Parker, LeBron James, Maya Moore, Trae Young and Breanna Stewart are just a few of the basketball legends nominated in the past.
