Rodgers confirms massive squad boost ahead of Burnley trip

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers will be thankful for a reprieve in the coming days and weeks as the Foxes look set to give the team a huge boost at the King Power Stadium.

As quoted by the injury analyst Ben Deeney, Rodgers expects up to five players to return after Leicester’s thinness has been relentlessly exposed this season due to a variety of factors;

“Patterson Dhaka, Luke Thomas, Caglar Soyuncu, Kiernan Duesbury-Hall and James Justin, that’s good news, maybe not a starter, but he’s back to the team.”

The eventual return of James Justin is a special treat for Leicester fans, as the illustrious England U21 right-back has missed the second half of last season and all of this season with a cruciate ligament injury.

Leicester boss positive about Justin’s progress

“He’s done really well, it’s about making his first appearance. He’s feeling good in the game, he’s looking very strong in training. He should be able to play for the team and we’ll see him tomorrow. Get him back It’s a huge advantage for us.” Note: Official quotation Leicester City Twitter Account

Now any news is good news Leicester City Headmaster Brendan Rodgers is well below the pre-season goals they have managed over the past two seasons as the Foxes, when they finished fifth and narrowly finished in the Premier League’s top four.

Currently 11th in the standings and 10 points behind in the same spot at the end of the 2020-21 and 2019-20 seasons, the Foxes have everything to do but heading into the current period they have won the past Two of the three games.

The expected boost to the first team will go a long way towards addressing the fitness issues that have plagued the club all season, while Leicester and Burnley are in the turf swamp on Saturday.
