Premier League side Leeds United confirmed on Friday that Adam Forshaw has committed to a new contract with the club.
Of course, midfielder Forshaw was one of the few reasons to smile in the full Test campaign at Elland Road so far.
It comes with the 30-year-old enjoying a remarkable revival as Leeds United battle the “Second Season Syndrome” in the Premier League.
Forshaw was given a full two-year league start against Leicester in early November, when he was sidelined by injury.
And to say Everton’s youth product has started to reposition itself in boss Marcelo Bielsa’s plans would be an understatement.
While far from spectacular, Forshaw has, for the most part, proven a solid and consistent presence among the white ranks in the middle of the park, starting with a not-too-shabby 11 in all competitions.
And, as mentioned above, on Friday, Forshaw’s effort saw the 30-year-old be justly rewarded by those in power in West Yorkshire.
Forshaw has signed a new Leeds contract, as confirmed by a series of posts on the club’s social media platforms.
The Liverpool native has pledged his future at the club for another 12 months until the end of the 2022/23 season before his term expires this summer:
