Folarin Balogun claims Arsenal fans would love to leave on loan

Balogun joins Middlesbrough on loan

Both clubs confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that highly-rated Arsenal striker Fralin Balogon has joined Middlesbrough on loan for the remainder of the season.

Balogun, who sits behind Eddie Nketiah in this season’s standings, will get his first serious experience of first-team football and hopes to make his mark on the North East club, lifting them to the top flight in the process.

Great for U23 football and hopefully a loan move will see him back as a player ready to take on Arsenal’s new striker signing for a first-team spot next season.

Balogun makes Arsenal claim

And, for those worried they could soon lose the starlet, Balogun has now confirmed his intentions outside of his loan spell.

Arsenal revealed:

“The target is definitely still Arsenal. Getting to the first team is something I always wanted to do.”

As a club proud to have Hale End graduates, Arsenal hope he can follow Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe who have already done so.
