Fiorentina set to accept Arsenal's Dusan Vlahovic bid amid potential forward swoops

Arsenal chasing striker

Arsenal are desperate for a striker and their problems in the department this season have been well-documented, especially after former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was exiled.

While his performances appear to be free-scoring compared to the start of the season, reinforcements are still needed and the man most closely linked to a move to north London is Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.

The sharpshooter has scored 23 goals in 29 appearances for the Viola this season, tying Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for most goals in a Serie A year set in 2021.

Now, there are potentially major developments.

Arsenal will accept bid?

Now, according to FourFourTwo, Fiorentina will accept a “huge Dusan Vlahovic offer” from Arsenal, thought to be around £58m, despite warnings that any deal is “far from done”.

This is mainly due to the Gunners’ quoted high wages and agent fees, according to reports, with Sami Mokber revealing that the Serb will demand £300,000-a-week, a sharp increase from his £26,000-a-week deal at Fiorentina.

In addition, the Gunners have to pay an additional £15m in agent fees.

With that in mind, and additional questions about whether Vlahovic wants to join the club, agreeing on a fee is the easy part.
