Cricket Australia appoints match officials for women’s multi-format series with India

Australian Cricket (CA) announced on Saturday the names of the match officials appointed for the upcoming women’s multi-form series against India.

Eloise Sheridan (Eloise Sheridan) has participated in seven women’s T20Is matches and is a member of CA’s Supplementary Referee Team (SUP). She plans to participate in her first match in the second of the three matches. Women’s Single Day International (WODI) competition. Great Barrier Reef Arena.

Sheridan’s referees Phil Gillespie and Claire Polosac and match referee Bob Stratford will host their first women’s test match.

Gillespie is a member of the Australian Cricket National Referee Committee (NUP) and became the first woman to participate in a men’s ODI competition in April 2019, and was the fourth referee Polosak in the Australian-Indian Men’s Test held in Sydney last summer Participated in SUP.

Stratford is a member of the CA competition referee team and has previously supervised 14 WODI and 10 WT20Is.

In addition, Bruce Oxenford rejoined NUP this summer after serving on the International Cricket Council (ICC) referee panel for nearly ten years. He will participate in two of the three WODIs and as many as WT20Is. He will also become the third referee in the test match.

The series will begin on September 21 and will include three women’s ODI, a day and night test and three women’s T20I.

Commenting on these appointments, CA’s Head of Cricket Operations and Scheduling Petroch said: “For Eloise, Claire, Phil and Bob, these games will mark career milestones and prove their Continuous excellence is well-deserved.

Before the start of the series, the Indian team will participate in two warm-up matches against the Australian Cricket XI on September 16 and 18. Both matches will be played at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane.

Gillespie and Polosak will participate in the first warm-up match, and Sheridan and Oxenford will stand together in the second match. Stratford will supervise the two games as a referee.
