Australia’s Hyde broke a record double ton in the One Day Cup

On Wednesday, in the Marsh Cup match between South Australia and Queensland, mid-level batsman Travis Head became the first Australian man to score two centuries of double goals in a single-day cricket match.

After 257 goals against Queensland’s D’Arcy Short in 2018, Head hit 28 four-pointers and 8 six-pointers with 127 balls, setting the second highest record in Australia’s single-day cup history.

The left-hander Hyde played the last of 42 ODIs for Australia in 2018 and scored 202 in the game against Western Australia six years ago.

Hyde was eliminated from the Australian test team last year, but he hopes to regain his seat in the Ashes series against England that started in Brisbane on December 8.
