'Almost done' - major update pursued by Manchester United management

Sources from the French press this weekend point to a clear front-runner emerging in the race to replace Ralph Rangnick at Manchester United this summer.

Rangnick’s “revolution”?

Hot topics at Old Trafford have certainly taken front and centre of the media discussion over the past few weeks.

This is happening in less impressive form overseen by current boss Ralf Rangnick.

After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in late November, the man in charge of the Manchester Reds finally decided to hand over the reins of the club to German mastermind Rangnick.

In turn, an immediate uptick in not only results but performances is widely predicted, and Rangnick is highly regarded in football circles across the continent.

At this point, however, it would be an understatement to say the “new-look” Red Devils have failed to live up to expectations.

Despite the changes in formation and victories over the likes of Crystal Palace and Burnley, United have looked for weeks as a team without any real identity.

That fact was most evident this past Monday, when the latest in a string of lackluster performances finally culminated in Rangnick and his colleagues. 0-1 home defeat to Bruno Lager’s Wolves.

Pochi is coming?

The predicament has sparked a swift and entirely inevitable upheaval among United’s loyalists, with new calls for management appointments to look at the long-term, not just another “temporary job”.

And, as mentioned above, a potentially major update on the situation is coming on Saturday.

The information was provided by French media, which suggested that Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino would be named as the next player on the bench at Old Trafford.

said in an interview channel teamReporter Dominic Severak, citing insider information, assured that a deal between the Red Devils and the former Spurs manager is “not far off”, with the two sides joining forces this summer to maintain long-term mutual interests:

“He can’t say anything until the end of the season, but for me it’s almost over! I tell you what I know. Manchester United want him, he wants to go (…) so we are leaving The agreement is not far away!
