Captain of the Indian team Willat Colley Decided to resign from the leadership position of T20I after the upcoming T20I meeting 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.
So far, Kohli has played 90 T20Is and served as the captain of India in 45 games, of which his national team has won 27 games.
The 32-year-old player said in a statement that the decision was made after consulting with people around him, coach Ravi Shastri and teammates. Rohit SharmaKohli cited “workload” and gave himself “space” to lead in tests and ODI cricket as the reason for his decision.
After Kohli announced his decision, “King Kohli” and “Captain Fearless” immediately became some hot trends on Twitter, as well as the “very respectful” announcement by the Australian sports host Chloe-Amanda Bailey.
“Virat Kohli will resign as the captain of the T20, which is confirmed by the man himself. Very respected, his contribution is huge,” Bailey wrote.
Virat Kohli will resign as T20 captain, and the man himself confirmed this. With so much respect, his contribution is huge. https://t.co/iEOs53ehjq

BCCI Chairman Sourav Ganguly stated in his statement that Kohli has always been a real asset of the Indian cricket team.
“He leads with composure. He is one of the most successful captains in all formats. The decision was made with the future roadmap in mind. We thank Virat for his outstanding performance as the captain of the T20I. We wish him in the coming days. All goes well for the World Cup and beyond, and I hope he will continue to score a lot of goals for the Indian team.”
BCCI has not appointed Kohli’s successor as the captain of the T20 format.

The announcement may be in #T20 World Cup But I think solving this problem may help Kohli free his mind and play more freely.

Perfect timing from Kohli. This problem is over, and in the best interest of the team, he has completely stopped. It’s time to just talk about cricket.

Verat’s intensity is crazy.I thought he would give up the captain #RCB This will give him a two-month vacation as a leader. Hope this can give his mind the rest he needs, who knows, find another peak for him as a T20 batsman.

This is a brave tuba. Virat likes and wants to focus on team performance in the longest format. For him, the greatest achievement is to improve the health of the entire team.Good luck on the road ahead @imVkohli @Donald Trump @RaviShastriOfc #India team #ViratKohli https://t.co/w0EpSOKGUA
